STORE POLICIES
We accept all major credit cards, personal / cashiers checks and cash. By state law, all sales are subject to 6.35% Connecticut Sales Tax, any one single item in excess of $5,000 is subject to 7.75% Connecticut Luxury Sales Tax. We are happy to take orders via phone or email and we ship insured, with FedEx, anywhere in the world. Returns are accepted when accompanied by original sales receipt within 15 days of purchase for EVEN EXCHANGE or STORE CREDIT. This 15 day period begins on the date noted on the copy of your payment receipt and gift receipt. The only exception to this 15 day policy is during the holiday season when a precise "exchange accepted by" date in month/day/year format is noted on the receipt. In the state of Connecticut, store credit and gift cards do not expire. Connecticut state law prohibits retailers from issuing a refund on the sales tax portion of your purchase without having your printed sales or gift receipt. NO REFUNDS on any purchase will be issued in the form of ORIGINAL PAYMENT. We cannot accept returns on the following items: monogramed, personalized, special order items, items that have been sized or altered from their original first quality state, items damaged through normal wear and tear, or custom design projects. Additionally, all bridal related jewelry - engagement rings, wedding bands, diamonds, are considered FINAL SALE the moment a deposit or payment in full has been made. We guarantee the product and quality of the work, not the romance. All custom design projects require a 50% deposit to begin the project, with the remaining balance due at the time of completion and approval of the piece. Deposits made on ANY product, project or service shall NOT be refunded in any form. Special order items must be paid for in full prior to ordering. All items left for repair work are to be picked up in-store within 30 days of repair completion. Post 30 days, repair work will be billed by mail. We DO NOT buy unwanted, used, scrap jewelry, loose diamonds or gemstones for cash value - NO exceptions. We DO NOT engage in the resale or repurchase of wedding related jewelry, regardless if the item was purchased through Onyx or elsewhere.
